"I attended two workshops by Wendy & Karl. And for good reason. Not only did I learn a great deal, but I also discovered whole new sides to my own creativity. Not to mention the friends I made. All in all, I highly recommend it! - Sylvie, 2024 & 2025 Workshop Participant
2027 Solstice Photography Workshop in Iceland
Self-discovery. Body acceptance. Empowerment. Connection. Healing. Femininity. Grounding. Love.
These are just a few of the effects of putting yourself behind a camera and honing the art of self-portraiture.
Our workshops support you with the artistic skills of posing yourself (or others), and composing powerful, fine art self-portraits. While the workshop is designed to focus on self-portraits, there will also be plenty of opportunity to shoot others if you wish. You will spend a week in a location surrounded by beautiful nature and equally beautiful, inspiring souls. We will provide you accommodation, transportation, meals, locations, and direct guidance and practice with storytelling, creating contrast, using movement and intentionality, analysing light, shapes, and emphasizing interaction and connection. You will come away with new friends and new knowledge.
"Thank you so much for the wonderful time in Madeira. I felt seen the whole time, you created a wonderful atmosphere in the group, I learnt a lot and feel incredibly inspired to continue on the path you took me on." - 2024 Workshop Participant
Summer Solstice in Iceland - June 19-26, 2027
Join us for a wildly magical week in the land of ice and fire, during Litha, the summer solstice. Iceland will be bathed in midnight sun, sunsets transforming into sunrises with a brief kiss of twilight. Under this ethereal light, the endless sea of purple lupines contrasts with deep green misty gorges and raging waterfalls. We'll guide you in the art of emotive self-portraiture in fantasy locations, helping you bare your soul amidst landscapes plucked straight out of your dreams. Karl and I (Wendy) have spent three months exploring these locations and are excited to show you our favourite angles. In June, Iceland turns into a garden of lush flowers, with a fantastic mix of golden light and mysterious, moody weather.
"It was such a beautiful and special experience for me - you both made me feel so comfortable and can't wait to edit the beautiful photos you helped me make."

In between the two, we will visit Skogafoss, Kvernufoss, Vik Beach & town, Reynisfjara, Svinafellsjokul, Mulagljufur Canyon, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, and other spots of interest to the group (such as Fjaðrárgljúfur and Reynisdalur).
