Title: Forgotten Empire

Whispers on the wind tell of old empires whose stories are lost among the crumbling cliffs. The stones return to the earth from where they came, and history fades into story, then legend, then myth, and is forgotten. The Fae ruled this land once, they say, before the ruins were ruin, or so the story goes.

In this photo, the Quirang (or "Round Fold" in old Norse) are the cliffs to the left, with a foggy Needle among them. To the right in the distance is The Prison, an imposing rock with towers on each corner, where perhaps the Fae kept court. This photo took weeks of waiting for the low clouds to appear. Playing my ocarina among the foothills was a magical sensory experience, the clear echoes of each note bouncing off the cliff walls. It sounded like faraway fairy music, seducing the unwary traveller to leave the safe path.

UK and EU print-only orders feature free shipping via Royal Mail. Print orders to the rest of the world, and all framed artworks, are shipped securely by DHL courier at a heavily discounted flat rate from $9.

Orders are dispatched within 5 working days. Thereafter, they should arrive within 5 days to the UK/Europe and North America, and 5 to 7 days for Australia/New Zealand. Other destinations may vary - please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email.

Our printing company is 100% carbon neutral and all our packaging is environmentally friendly. Everything is either recyclable or biodegradable and that includes the stickers, tape, compostable bubble wrap, as well as the frame edge protectors used.

Your artwork will be sustainably packaged and well protected, but on the rare occasion there are issues, we will do our best to make it right. More information here.
